Interim Executive Director
Hung Pham is the Interim Executive Director for Arkansas A+ Schools, where he oversees strategic operations of the organization, working with staff, fellows, and network schools to accomplish the A+ mission and vision. He is also Director for the Center for Children & Youth (CCY), at the University of Arkansas, where he designs and implements programs for K12 students, pre-service teachers, and classroom educators to foster creative, socially-engaged learning and address the needs of under-resourced communities. Pham has extensive experience in the fields of arts integration, service learning, and literacy across the curriculum. In 2019, Pham and CCY received the Governor’s Arts Award for contributions to the arts in education. He has collaborated with leading organizations such as the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Teachers College (Columbia University), and Facing History & Ourselves. A graduate of the University of Arkansas’s MFA in Creative Writing program, Pham was a recipient of the 2015 Arkansas Arts Council Individual Artist Fellowship for his fiction. Before coming to Arkansas, he worked with educational and youth-related nonprofits in Colorado and New Hampshire.
Rachel has experience with expanding the A+ network across the United States. She has worked with Louisiana A+ and has been a part of establishing the Kansas A+ pilot program. She also has experience implementing A+ in Oklahoma as an elementary school teacher. She received her bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Langston University and her master’s in Education Administration and Supervision from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
Lynnette Kirk is an Accountant II for the Office of Administration for the Dean of Administration. She joined the University of Arkansas in January of 2020. Lynnette’s experience in accounting comes from a combination of education and work experience. She received her Bachelor’s in Business Administration in Accounting December 2000 from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK. Working in the corporate environment, Lynnette gained much experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger and financial statement. Lynnette earned her Master’s in Business Administration in Accounting from Liberty University through its online program in September 2019.
Angie Hicks joined Arkansas A+ on March 2, 2020 as the Operations Coordinator. Angie is a Little Rock native and graduate of Little Rock Central High. Angie received a BA degree in Art History from University of Memphis. Angie has over 30 years experience in office management with the 20 years prior to Arkansas A+ as a department coordinator for Civil Engineering department in California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
