Rosie Geren – Arkansas A+ Fellow

Rosie Geren is a dedicated educator with over 35 years of experience in teaching and educational leadership. She holds degrees in Speech Pathology and certifications in Elementary Education and Gifted and Talented Education. Rosie spent much of her career serving the students of Fort Smith Public Schools, including 30 years as a Gifted and Talented specialist and speech pathologist.

An Arkansas A+ Fellow since 2003, Rosie brings her passion for children, learning, and service to her work by supporting teachers in integrating the arts across the curriculum. Even in retirement, she continues to impact education by mentoring and leading through A+, believing that every teacher’s teaching and every student’s learning should include the arts. Her teaching philosophy centers on the belief that students learn best when they feel loved, supported, and engaged through creative expression.
