Dr. Kimberly Collins – Arkansas A+ Fellow

Dr. Kimberly Collins is a passionate music educator and Arkansas A+ Fellow who brings interactive music-making to classrooms through movement, drumming, singing, and instrumental play. With experience in rural, urban, and suburban schools, she helps teachers customize units that align with Arkansas music standards and inspire creativity through Orff instruction, student composition, and performance.

Kimberly holds a bachelor’s degree in music education and a master’s in elementary administration from Harding University and earned her doctorate in Teacher Leadership from Concordia University. She is certified in the Orff-Schulwerk approach, World Music Drumming, Drum Circle facilitation, and Creating Original Opera through the Metropolitan Opera. A national presenter and Orff Schulwerk Teacher Educator, Kimberly leads workshops and teacher education courses across the country.

She was nominated as a Disney American Teacher and recognized as Teacher of the Year in two Little Rock School District schools. Beyond the classroom, she serves as co-director of several community choirs and is an active church leader, mentor, and arts advocate. Kimberly is dedicated to fostering joy and creativity through music for learners of all ages.
