
Burtie Harder – Arkansas A+ Fellow
Burie Harder is an Arkansas A+ Fellow and passionate educator who believes that true learning happens through fun and relevant connection to students’ lives. Since beginning her A+ teaching journey in 2004 and becoming an A+ Fellow in 2011, she has dedicated herself to helping students grow as creative problem-solvers and lifelong learners.
She has taught art, technology, English, and many other subjects during her career at a small rural school in Alread, Arkansas. In Clinton High School, she facilitated EAST (Environmental and Spatial Technology) programs. Her approach emphasizes using student-driven inquiry, technology, and the arts to tackle meaningful, real-world challenges.
With a talent for asking thoughtful questions and encouraging deeper understanding, Burtie nurtures a classroom culture of curiosity and exploration. She champions the Arkansas A+ Essentials as essential to learning, helping both students and teachers tap into their strengths through discovery and creativity.
