Beverly Frederick – Arkansas A+ Fellow

Beverly Frederick is a vibrant arts educator and Arkansas A+ Fellow with a 19-year career inspiring students through the power of creativity. She retired in 2022 from what she proudly describes as a “stellar” career in Fine Arts education, having spent nearly two decades helping students unlock their inner artist.

A Fellow since 2012, Beverly brings a contagious energy and deep passion for sparking curiosity, excitement, and engagement in every learner she encounters. She believes creativity is about liberating the artist within us all—and she’s committed to helping students and teachers alike “get it” through meaningful, arts-integrated experiences.

Beverly is a strong advocate for Arkansas A+, especially in today’s education climate where time constraints and state mandates can limit exploration. She believes that A+ provides the path back to joyful, curiosity-driven learning where creativity thrives and students are seen, heard, and inspired.

Her favorite A+ memories are countless, but the most meaningful moments are those where she felt deeply understood—part of a group that truly “gets her.”
