What Is an A+ Fellow

The backbone of Arkansas A+ Schools is our team of Fellows. A+ Fellows provide ongoing professional development that focuses on collaborative, research-based practices.

A+ Fellows are recruited and invited to join the A+ network. They may be working teachers, teaching artists or retired professionals. Imagine them as the dream staff at every position in a K-12 school.

A+ Fellows enter the network as apprentice fellows with a wide range of expertise and experience and are asked to serve in the apprentice role for one year, observing and assisting fellows as they conduct professional development. During this first year, apprentice fellows consider how their particular strengths might be used and what areas they need to develop. Fellows are then assigned to work on teams that allow them to use their expertise.
